POLITICO/Media foolishness

For quite some time this past week, it appeared that the only political story that our myopic media could get their heads around was whether or not Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would be joining John McCain as his vice-presidential candidate on the GOP ticket this November. And even though Ms. Rice quickly dismissed the rumors as patently false, it didn’t stop the staff of Marist College — who apparently have too much time on their hands — from conducting a poll regarding this historic Republican match up.
The results of the WNBC/Marist survey put a hypothetical McCain-Rice ticket ahead of an equally unlikely Obama-Clinton ticket by a full 3 points — a result well within the poll’s margin of error and effectively making the effort a complete waste of time (which is exactly my point).A slow week for the media produces . . . .NOTHING
